Students will use paper to change the behavior of a robot construction as a precursor to programming with Cubelets Blockly.
This lesson is a terrific transition from Cubelets as a kinesthetic screen-free coding tool to a tool of individual programmable robots that work together as a system. Today’s learning task will allow students the opportunity to combine their spatial reasoning and computational thinking into one robotics project. The teacher will assemble a couple robots on which students can test their paper “code” instead of students assembling their own separate Cubelets robots for this lesson.
