Wilmot Union High School values and encourages the support of the family to ensure student success. It is a team effort. Please join us at a Family Advisory Committee meeting to give us your feedback. Meetings are open to all parents/guardians of current Wilmot students and parents/guardians of 8th graders joining us as freshmen in the fall. We will meet once a month. Regular attendance is not required. Show up when the date and time work for you. We plan on rotating the day of the week to ensure more opportunities for participation. We will be sure to announce the topic of discussion ahead of the meeting and remind everyone of the date and time in advance. The purpose of the Family Advisory Committee (FAC) is to provide communication between parents and school administrators/school board.
Families will be asked to:
provide the school board/school administrators with feedback and insight from the parent’s perspective on school processes, policies, and initiatives to ensure that the needs of parents and their families are included as decisions are made in the district
bring to the school board’s/school administrator’s attention existing and emerging issues
serve as an advisory, not a decision-making body, that makes recommendations, for future change
