About Coach Braden

• Coach Braden returns for his 4th year as head coach of the Wilmot varsity volleyball team.  
• During his time as varsity coach his teams won the 2007 Delavan-Darien Invite.    
• Coach Braden's philosophy for the volleyball program is "You are only as good as your practice. If you practice like champions, putting everything you have into it, winning will take care of itself."
• Coach Braden currently teaches Physical Education. 
• He says, "The best thing about coaching is passing on my passion for the sport."
• Coach Braden's experience includes playing for UW-Madison, UW-Madison women's volleyball manager, UW-Madison PE Volleyball T.A., Wisconsin Juniors Volleyball Club coach, and Wilmot Varsity Head coach.
• Coach Braden got into coaching volleyball because some of his friends who were already coaches asked him to get involved and he never looked back.

About Coach Smits

• This is her first year as assistant Varisity Volleyball coach at Wilmot. 
• She has coached middle school (5-8 grades) in Lake Geneva for two years previously. 
• She loves to coach volleyball because she really enjoys the sport and being part of a team who is dedicated and also shares her passion.

About Coach Thelen

• She is the assistant varsity volleyball coach here at wilmot.
• Coach Thelen is in her 18th year of coaching volleyball for Wilmot, but has played for many years. 
• She has also coached for the Wisconsin Juniors Club Volleyball for 6 years. 
• She says, "The best thing about coaching is working with the athletes and watching them grow as an athlete and as individuals."
• Coach Thelen also says, "The people I coach with are the best."
• She decided to coach volleyball because she loves the sport and working with young people.

About Coach Marschel

• She played Volley Ball for 5 years in High School and then another 5 in college.  She coached Freshman Volleyball for 2 years and then went on to lead a team at the University of Minnesota intramurals program for 5 years. 
• This is her first year coaching out at Wimot and she coaches the Freshman Girls Volleyball team. When she was a Freshman in High School she rode her bike 10 miles from Kenosha to Westosha to a Volleyball camp. It is pretty safe to say that few love the sport of Volleyball more than she does. 
• My favorite years of coaching has always been at the Freshman level.  As the coach you get to take that raw talent and develop it.  It is one of my greatest joys and passions to see an athlete stretch themselves in drills and conditioning and improve during game play. 
•  It was thrilling to see how far they'd come on the court and with one another as a team.
