About Coach Greinke

What do you like about coaching?

It gives me the opportunity to blend two things i love to do - be involved with sports and helping others. Working with kids to help them love football the way I do is an added bonus. Its certainly alot of hard work, but its just something that I could never see myself Not doing. Its part of who I am as a person.

What is your past experience in this Sport?

  • High School - Westwood High School, Austin, TX - Freshmen Football, JV Football (Starter Soph and Junior year), Varsity Football (Junior and Started Senior Year). Played offensive line.
  • College - Played one year at UW-Whitewater

Coaching

  • 1999-2001 - San Antonio Roosevelt High School, San Antonio, TX (Freshman Offensive Coordinator)
  • 2001-2005 - Cudahy High School (Junior Varsity Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator)
  • 2005-2006 - Waterford High School (Varsity Defensive Coordinator)
  • 2007 - Back to Cudahy High School (Varsity Defensive Coordinator)

What made you decide to coach this sport?

When it comes down to it, I had so many doors open to me in my life of things that I could do. When I looked at things that I really enjoyed, I just really enjoyed how I transformed myself physically and mentally as a person, as a result of being a football player in Austin, Texas. As a 7th grader, my coach was constantly on me to improve myself, to not just be another fat kid that never did anything. I really pushed myself and appreciate him nudging me in that direction.
