Mr. Koziol's Bio:
  • I have been associated with the Wilmot Fitness Center since November of 2007 and have truly enjoyed the opportunity to assist in making the Wilmot High School Fitness Center grow into a facility the school and the community can be proud of.
  • I currently own a degree in Sports Management and have been in and out of the fitness field for the past 15 years, working in both corporate and community fitness facilities.
  • I have participated in many athletic activities throughout my lifetime, including football, wrestling, Tae Kwon Do, 12 and 16 inch (yes, Chicago style) softball and have competed in a few Olympic style weight lifting competitions as well as a few bench press competitions. Most recently, I competed in the Pleasant Prairie Triathlon, competing in the Duathlon event as I am not a strong or confident swimmer.
  • On the personal side, I am blessed to be happily married with four awesome children, ages 12, 9, 3 and 1.

Mrs. Carri McBurney

Mrs. McBurney's Bio
  • I worked at a Fitness Center while I was attending the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee to become a teacher, and there I learned the importance of meeting and greeting people who come to use the facility to better their lives.  It was admirable to watch people come in and work so hard on a weekly, and even daily basis, and I was glad to be a smile to greet them as they arrived.  Everyone comes for different reasons, but the result is always the same…people always leave feeling a little bit better about themselves, and I loved being a part of that environment. I never knew that after becoming a teacher, I would be back supervising a Fitness Center, but here I am!
  • As a teacher, I realize how important it is to make connections with my students, and make it known that I care about them and want to be involved in their lives.  When the opportunity arose for me to become on of the Track coaches here at Wilmot, I jumped at the chance.  I, too, was an athlete when I attended Wilmot High School, and I had aspirations of becoming a coach after beginning my teaching career.  Since I am an eighth grade teacher at Riverview School, it is an awesome experience to coach some of my former students at the high school level, and follow through with supporting them in some of the greatest years of their lives.
  • Working here in the Fitness Center allows me to continue to show an interest in my students’ lives because not only do I see some of them, but I also meet their family members.  I believe strongly in making connections, in school and out of school, with my students and their families, and other community members too, because the more close ties we have in life, the richer life becomes.
